Your wedding ceremony at Prairie Guest House can take place in several distinctive indoor and outdoor settings, each offering its own character and atmosphere:

• Meadow: Exchange vows in our peaceful meadow, nestled among mature native trees, with plenty of open space for guests to gather and enjoy the natural surroundings.

• Studio & Lawn: Celebrate in our spacious bridal studio, which opens onto a lovely lawn shaded by a canopy of trees, providing a bright, relaxed setting for your ceremony. The studio can accommodate up to 70 guests with theater-style seating.

• Dining Room or Sunroom: Make a memorable entrance down the staircase into our dining room or sunroom for a more intimate indoor ceremony. This is a lovely option for smaller gatherings.

During a tour, we'd be happy to show you each ceremony setting and help you envision which one feels like the right fit for your wedding day.

Your reception at Prairie Guest House can take place indoors or outdoors, depending on your guest count and the style of celebration you're planning.

For receptions of up to 50 guests, you can choose an outdoor reception or gather indoors in our dining room and sunroom. This inviting, boutique-style space is filled with natural light and overlooks our courtyard gardens. It accommodates up to 25 guests for a seated reception or up to 50 guests for a standing-style gathering.

For receptions of more than 50 guests, your celebration would take place in our outdoor spaces. Our bridal studio opens through French doors onto a generous lawn that can accommodate a tent up to 20' x 40'. You might choose to hold your ceremony in the studio and celebrate outdoors afterward—or exchange vows outside and use the studio for your buffet, bar, or dance floor.

This flexible arrangement allows you to create a comfortable flow between your ceremony, reception, and the spaces you want to enjoy throughout your celebration.

Yes. Tables and chairs for up to 25 guests are included when your wedding reception is held in our Dining Room and Sunroom.

For receptions held in the bridal studio or outdoors, you'll need to arrange additional tables, chairs, linens, and other rentals. We partner with A Classic Party Rental, and you're welcome to contact them for a quote based on your event needs.

You're welcome to have a tent for your outdoor wedding reception. Our property can accommodate a 20' x 40' tent, and we partner with A Classic Party Rental for tent rentals. You can contact them directly for a quote based on your event needs.

A $350 tented-event fee applies to all tented events. This fee is separate from and does not include the cost of the tent rental.

Yes! You are welcome to choose your own caterer for your wedding or event. Please note that kitchen access is not available, so all food must arrive fully prepared and ready to serve.

This gives you the flexibility to select a caterer and menu that best fit your celebration.

Your date is secured with a 20% non-refundable reservation retainer at the time of booking.

The remaining balance and a $500 damage deposit will be charged to the card on file one month prior to your event.

Because dates are not held until the retainer is received, we recommend reserving early to secure your preferred date.

The reservation retainer and damage deposit serve two different purposes:

• Reservation retainer: A 20% non-refundable retainer collected at the time of booking to reserve your date. The retainer is applied toward your total venue rental fee.

• Damage deposit: A $500 refundable deposit charged to the card on file along with your remaining balance one month prior to your event. The damage deposit is refunded after your event, provided the space is left in good condition and there is no property damage.

All payments other than the damage deposit are non-refundable.

Your event includes several convenient amenities, with optional add-ons available to help you customize your celebration and make hosting a little easier.

• 6' banquet table with tablecloth for your food display

• Silver beverage tub on a stand for chilled drinks (please provide the ice)

• 21" x 30" table with linen for dinnerware

• 5' sideboard for additional food, beverages, or dessert display

• Placemats for protecting our dining room table—you may use ours or bring your own

• Waste bins and liners

• Dishes, silverware, and paper napkins for your guests: $250

• Self-serve beverage station with coffee and water: $150

• Linen napkins: $1.50 per person

• Dessert plating and service: $2 per person, using our flatware

• Stemware for guest beverages: $2 per person

• Event assistance from a staff member: $45 per hour

• 30" TV with HDMI hookup: $75

• Seasonal floral accents: $150, including centerpieces for the dining and banquet tables plus additional decorative touches
