So you’re going to visit Conner Prairie. You are packing up the kids, stocking the cooler, and making the road trip to go back in time to 1836. We would love to host your stay while visiting here in our vintage farmhouse, cottage, and barn.
With fresh home cooked breakfast every morning and comfortable, quiet rooms, the Prairie Guest House is your home away from home and a great way to visit ours across the street neighbors. We are kid friendly and love to prepare pancakes!

Follow the North Star
Travel back to 1836 and experience an interactive historical program that demonstrates the wide range of social attitudes towards African-Americans in pre-Civil War Indiana. Take on the role of fugitive slaves seeking freedom through the Underground Railroad. Join Connor Prairie for this powerful experience April 19th, 20th, 26th, and 27th.
Connor Prairie’s Prairie Plates celebrates the farm-to-table food and craft drink movement with unique dining experiences throughout our grounds, featuring the region's top chefs and gourmet artisans. Join them for RAIL on the Covered Bridge. Enjoy an evening of elegance, while dining at a table set the length of our historic Covered Bridge.
Join Prairie Pursuits’ how-to classes and workshops geared to adults and teens in a variety of topics from historic trades, to culinary skills, to the arts.
Follow us to the forge. Learn to heat metal in a coal forge and shape it on an anvil at Connor Prairie. You'll have the opportunity to complete several simple projects like barbeque skewers, a dinner bell, and a flint and steel firestarter with instructions on how to use it.
Experience the kiln burn at Connor Prairie. Gather around the Barker Brother’s Pottery Shop to watch how delicate clay pots transform into beautiful, durable wares using centuries-old techniques.
Join us for a Memory Café - a welcoming, safe space for individuals with Alzheimer’s or any type of Dementia, and their caregivers.

Work alongside skilled craftsmen and create fine art and arms making within Connor Prairie. Each class provides the opportunity to develop skills from a basic level to a more advanced level.
