Gather the Family and Relax here at Prairie Guest House
If there is one thing that the Prairie Guest House is made for it would have to be the Family Reunion. We have hosted many and each one is special in its own unique way. We obviously have guest rooms so that your out of town guests can collect and gather in a home-like space.
“The whole evening was very special… I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. Dad was beyond touched and everyone had the nicest things to say about the Prairie Guest House. The food was great and service was even better. Extremely attentive to our needs. Thank you for coordinating everything for us. We were very pleased! - Brooke, Fishers IN
Renting out the entire property is the most fun as it allows your family to relax and gain the greatest enjoyment from our common areas and grounds. Here are some of the great benefits of celebrating with us:
Cook Out - We can host the ultimate cook out for your group. With yard games, a farm setting, and beautiful gardens you will truly enjoy our scene. Check out our menu for cook out options.
Conner Prairie Excursions - Right across the street is a wonderful ‘Living History’ museum. It’s 1836 and you feel as if you have gone back in time to talk and live amongst artisans, farmers, inn keepers, the doctor, and school teacher. Throw tomahawks in the indian trading post. Join the union forces as the confederate army has raided southern Indiana, or splash on a hot day in the water park. No matter how you enjoy Conner Prairie it is alway a wonderfully enlightening experience.
Parks, Trails, and River - Back in the early 1800’s settlers came to this area and planted their families for a couple reasons. One; the land was prairie, not having to log forest to start crops was a very good thing. Two; the White River winds its way through the land just west of us. City and state planners have been generous with parks and green ways that make for great get-aways for the afternoon. The river lends itself well to canoeing and kayaking and there is an outfit just north of us that you can rent a canoe or kayak for a couple hours or the day. Nothing helps to reset like spending a day in the woods.
Lunches and Dinners - Restaurants can be difficult with such a large party. We have many lunch and dinner options available so your family can continue to enjoy their time together. We have several different menu selections for each meal.
Concerts - There are several options for a musical experience especially during the warmer months. You can; pack a picnic, with our help, and visit Symphony on the Prairie, Head to the nearby Amphitheater for a night with a national headliner or get suited up for high end entertainment at the Palladium Performing Arts Center. Celebrating with music is a natural expression of love and togetherness let us know if you need help with calendars and schedules.
Golf - Gather the group for a fun round on one of many local courses. With so many courses to choose from you can select the level of difficulty and price point you would like to visit. We can help with recommendations.
Shopping, Movies, Kid Zones, Museums - So rainy days do occasionally change plans. There are a number of things that can be enjoyed even when Mother Nature needs to water the garden. Within an 8 mile radius there are 3 shopping malls/areas with hundreds of options. For the ‘looking for that one of a kind thing’ shopper, just north of us is Noblesville, with a very cute downtown. It is the county seat so the courthouse square is surrounded by old buildings some of which have been converted into antique and consignment shops.
In the malls surrounding us there are also movie theaters, including an art cinema and a beer brewery movie experience.
For those who like to run and bounce there are; Sky Zone, Top Golf, Bowling alleys, and indoor go carting throughout the area that can be enjoyed by the more active.
Looking for an educational experience? There are several museums in the Indianapolis area including; Indianapolis Museum of Art, Children’s Museum, Indianapolis Zoo & Botanical Gardens, Indiana State Museum, Eiteljorg Museum, NCAA Hall of Fame, and many smaller very interesting exhibit spaces including the Kurt Vonnegut Library.
There is plenty to do in the area and much that we can offer right here on our property. We do hope to see you this summer, winter, or when ever you gather the crew. To inquire about hosting your family reunion here at the Prairie Guest House fill out the form below or just call us. See you soon.
